A showcase kitchen built to be walked through by thousands, and still to work for the family who lives there afterwards.
The brief asked for something calm, and calm in a bathroom usually comes from restraint rather than from softness.
We used honed stone, a timber vanity left close to its natural tone, and unlacquered fittings that will patinate. Nothing in the room is trying to stay pristine, which is precisely why it will still look right in a decade.
